Gattinoni Watches
An Ethereal Universe of Emotion on Your Wrist
When Italian designer Fernanda Gattinoni opened her first atelier in Rome’s Via Marche in 1946, she began a lifelong commitment to fashion. Within a few years, she moved her atelier to Via Toscana, near the American Embassy, and was receiving regular visits from stars like Bette Davis, Ingrid Bergman, Lana Turner, Ava Gardner and Audrey Hepburn. When Hepburn starred in War and Peace, Fernanda designed the costumes for the mammoth production and won an Oscar nomination for costume design.
As the Gattinoni name continued to grow, Fernanda’s son Raniero joined the business and introduced numerous ready to wear lines designed to appeal to a wider audience. This restyling operation put the company on the international fashion map and set the stage for further growth under the artistic direction of the talented Venezuelan designer, Guillermo Mariotto.
As the Gattinoni style continued to be a major influence in the world of fashion, cinema and Haute Couture, it was almost inevitable that the atelier would launch its own line of watches and jewelry. Esy Four, the trend setting Italian designers who own the Gattinoni brand, launched an exquisite line of fine timepieces bearing the unmistakable Gattinoni style. The new accessory line made its debut at Baselworld 2011, and watch aficionados have been talking about it ever since.
| The flagship of the Gattinoni watch collection is the spectacular Planetarium Collection. This collection — inspired by the drawings of Leonardo da Vinci and dedicated to the International Year of Astronomy in 2009 — uses images of stars, galaxies, planets and asteroids as metaphors for time, creating watches that are so beautiful that many consider them to be fine art objects. |

According to Creative Director Guillermo Mariotto, “time is the contemporary luxury.” The Planetarium Collection expresses this luxury with timepieces that are both practical and frivolously lovely.
Sporty, fashion forward designs like the Gattinoni men’s Phoenix and Draco complement the ethereal beauty of the unique Planetarium Collection, giving fans of the signature Gattinoni style a choice of how to express themselves.
Gattinoni’s unique mixture of femininity and androgyny are considered hallmarks of today’s “new luxury.” If you would like to experience the joy of owning a fine Gattinoni timepiece yourself, look for your nearest Gattinoni dealer and reserve your favorite creation today.
