Avio watches are an adventurer’s dream. These boldly original creations take their inspiration from the world of aeronautics, the military, and even deep sea diving. Unlike other military inspired watches however, there’s a lot more to an Avio timepiece than a durable case and a readable dial.

Avio exemplifies the very best of modern Italian design. When Fulvio Locci, who founded the popular Montres de Luxe brand, found himself inspired by the world of aeronautics, he created Avio watches. Fulvio’s desire was to develop a line of pilot’s watches that was as colorful and fun as it was durable and practical.

By combining careful attention to detail with an innovative use of materials, Fulvio created a pilot’s watch that was completely unique: the Black Avio. This trend setting timepiece features an anodized aluminum case that is available in a wide variety of colors that coordinate with a bold, easily readable dial.

Soon, the Black Avio was joined by the Super, with its unique interchangeable bezel, and by the rugged, stainless steel Subtype divers watch, with thick anti-reflective glass and 200 meter water resistance.

Completing the Avio line are the oversized aluminum and steel 45-50mm models, which were inspired by helicopter instrumentation.

Each of these remarkable watches showcases the charm and originality that have made Italian products famous for their unique style, image and good taste. Fulvio Locci once said that he wanted to create watches that amazed and excited the wearer, and that’s exactly what an Avio watch does.
