To enhance the dial pattern, an inspiring combination of white and purple are incorporated into every aspect of the design. The case is made of stainless steel but only the lugs are visible behind the large diving-style white bezel, which intentionally minimizes its silvery appearance. Large sword-shaped hour and minute hands, together with the thin purple seconds hand, are well proportioned atop the spacious dial. Three sub-dials add further visual balance, with the day and date counters slightly overlapping the 24-hour counter.
The white rubber strap with embossed central rib adds additional texture. Of course rubber has a practical side, too, since summer watches must be able to withstand the heat, and rubber is perfect for wicking away water. To ensure a perfect match, purple stitching lines both sides of the strap.
While this purple-and-white model certainly has feminine flair, the Fun Colors collection includes several watches with a more masculine flavor, especially those models with black cases.
