Quintessential German Styling, Contemporary Appeal
Aachen is a German city situated in the Meuse basin, surrounded by hills, at the tripoint of Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. The emperor Charlemagne was so impressed with Aachen, he moved there, and made it the capital of his empire in the late 8th century.

The Aachen’s refined appearance reiterates a dial layout convention often found in German dial design in which one sub-dial bites into another; in this case, the arced retrograde GMT register overlaps the 24-hour sub-dial in its lower right quadrant. The brand name, Rüdiger Germany, sits prominently at the top of the dial at 12 o’clock, although no primary numerals actually appear on the dial. Instead, the hour, minute and second markers line the rehaut.
The hands of the Aachen are either natural stainless steel or rose gold IP depending on the model. The hour and minute hands are lance style; the small hands that appear on the sub-dials are a form of reverse leaf, i.e., the stem faces forward and the leaf tip is at the back. The finish on the date window molding always matches the hands of the particular watch.

Aachen’s 42 mm, 316L stainless steel case features a polished bezel and polished lugs; it is available in natural steel, IP rose gold or IP black. The crown is signed with the Rüdiger “R” and the front-side crystal is made of mineral glass. Each Aachen watch is paired with a black or brown leather strap and a traditional prong buckle.
