Designed with all the flair you’d expect from Cavalli, the Just Cavalli line is Roberto Cavalli’s tribute to the young and free-spirited. The Just Cavalli Rude watch collection shows off Cavalli’s skills in capturing a fashion forward look in a timepiece.
While the dominant watchcase shape is circular, the Rude collection comes in a 36 mm square that immediately says something will be different about these watches. The dial is loud and demands to be looked at with bold hour markers practically overflowing the case in the time-only models.

The first time-only model (R7251119001) comes in a stainless steel IP black case. On the diamond patterned black dial are sky blue Arabic numerals at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock surrounded by dagger indexes with a 3-number date aperture between 2 o’clock and 3 o’clock. The ‘Just Cavalli’ logo in blue is in a concentric circle to the lumed arrow hands. It comes on a canvas strap with blue stitching
In a stainless steel case, the second time-only model (R7251119002) decorates the dial using bold applied Roman numerals sprinkled with dagger indexes. A square patterned rectangle sits in between the numerals and contains the lumed, silver dagger hands as well as the ‘Just Cavalli’ logo in silver. A date window resides at 3 o’clock. This model straps onto the wrist with a crocodile patterned calfskin band.

The third model in the Rude collection sports a chronograph. Dagger hour indexes frame the chronograph dials except… two of the dials indicate the day (9 o’clock) and date (3 o’clock), while the third at 6 o’clock times intervals of 24 minutes. The ‘Just Cavalli’ logo resides at the top of the dial. In a stainless steel case, this chronograph comes on a stainless steel link bracelet with a fold-over clasp. Just like the other two models the dagger hands are lumed.
In every way, the Rude watch collection is like its name: lacking subtlety, out there, and perhaps not what’s expected to be appropriate, perhaps akin to entering a dinner party wearing Bermuda shorts, a polo shirt and flip flops. But that’s classic Cavalli and what makes it so great. In the 1970’s he went with exotic and colorful prints when the rest of the fashion world went conservative black and white. And when jeans were all uniform in look and style, he created the sandblasted look. The Just Cavalli Rude collection pushes the boundaries into a territory all its own.
