Versace for H&M Launch

Versace for H&MIf you’re into fashion, then you absolutely know Versace – internationally acclaimed Italian designer Gianni Versace made the name famous, and his sister, Donatella Versace, continues his legacy as head designer of the fashion powerhouse. However, if you know Versace, you know that such luxurious haute couture comes with an exceptionally high price tag. That is, until now. Introduced in mid-November 2011, “Versace for H&M” brings haute couture to mainstream consumers, so that everyone can have the opportunity to wear Versace.

Versace for H&M Collection

The highly anticipated and coveted Versace for H&M collection hit sales racks on November 18, 2001 around the world – and sold out on the first day. Stores in Beijing and Dubai reportedly sold out of their stock in 30 minutes! There will be another launch, however – a limited-edition spring pre-collection by Donatella donning the Versace for H&M brand name – but it will only be available online. So, for now, only the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway will be able to take advantage of the second opportunity. However, there are vendors on eBay already selling the items at markups of up to 300%.

Classic Italian High Fashion Made Affordable

The carefully curated Versace for H&M collection is a literally a new spin on an old idea: the collection is comprised of iconic Versace pieces now made ready-to-wear for fashionistas on any budget. With accessories for as low as $19.95 and the highest priced item in this inaugural collection being a full leather trench coat for only $399 , this is one made-for-department stores designer line that really is affordable. The debut collection can be viewed on the H&M website, although items cannot be purchased online in the US before sometime in 2012.

Donatella Versace, a world leader in high fashion, appears to have a style vision that integrates more modern, everyday looks and function into high fashion as well as making high fashion available to everyday people.

Versace Introduces Stunning DV One Cruise During Milan Fashion Week

On September 25, 2011 at an exclusive Versace cocktail party hosted at the Terrazza Martini during Milan Fashion Week, Donatella released a new interpretation of DV One, Versace’s signature watch, designed by herself called the DV One Cruise. Utilizing the blue, violet, black, and red color motif of the Versace Autumn-Winter 2011 Runway Show, this version of the DV One dons a rubber wristband in blue and violet and a bright red enamel face. The new DV One Cruise has proved once again that the house of Versace is “up to the challenge” in anything it undertakes.
