Fortis Blue Horizon Limited Edition Watch Collection

by John Sealander

A Contemporary Approach to the Classic Aviator Chronograph
Fortis WatchesThe Fortis name, which means “strong” in Latin, has become synonymous with strength and toughness among the world’s elite military forces. Ever since the early days of military aviation, pilots have chosen Fortis timepieces to wear while on duty. Many of these superb timing tools have been popular with pilots for so long that they are now considered classics.

As a tribute to its aviation heritage, Fortis is introducing a spectacular new limited edition collection: the Blue Horizon. These beautifully crafted aviator chronographs effectively combine a contemporary esthetic with the distinctive retro appeal that has made Fortis aviation timepieces famous. On your wrist, you experience the best of both worlds: the retro appeal of the Fortis aviation heritage, along with the fashion forward flair of the season’s hottest colors.

These 40 mm aviator chronographs feature a nostalgic brown sunray dial with bright blue Superluminova hands and indices for a contemporary touch. The overall effect is sensational, turning this dependable tool watch into a dramatic fashion statement. There are three well-placed sub-dials for timing events, along with separate windows for the day and date. A tachymeter scale inscribed on the chapter ring, distinctive applied Arabic numbers, and an oversized knurled setting crown flanked by two stainless steel pushers complete the harmonious design.

The Fortis Blue Horizon is available in brushed stainless steel fitted with a premium brown leather strap, or IP black with a black carbon fiber textured strap. Each timepiece in the collection is equipped with a scratch resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal on both sides of the watch, providing a clear view of both the beautifully crafted dial and the intricate inner workings of the precision Swiss made automatic movement within. The massive stainless steel case is water resistant to an impressive 669 feet.

Production of this exclusive chronograph has been strictly limited to 135 pieces per model. If you’d like a Blue Horizon 656.10.95 equipped with the classic brown leather strap, or the contemporary looking IP black Blue Horizon 656.18.95 with its modern carbon fiber styling, you need to contact an authorized Fortis dealer immediately. Watch aficionados and Fortis fans around the world are already adding these exclusive timepieces to their Christmas wish list, but only 135 lucky people will ever have the opportunity to wear one.
