Fernando Alonso is Viceroy’s Featured Attraction at Baselworld 2014

Viceroy WatchesFor 42 years, nothing has captured the glamor and excitement of jewelry and luxury watches like the annual Baselworld Watch and Jewelry Show in Basel, Switzerland. This glamorous international trade fair has become an essential destination for the world’s leading watch buyers, collectors, and industry insiders.

When Baselworld visitors arrived at the spectacular black and red Viceroy booth, they were greeted with the glamor and excitement of F1 Racing. Two-time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso, who has been a Viceroy Ambassador since 2008, set the tone for 2014 with a brand new ad campaign and exciting new additions to Viceroy’s signature Fernando Alonso Watch Collection.

Fernando Alonso watches, with their bold sporty design and personalized Fernando Alonso logo, personify what the young Spanish brand is all about. These driver inspired timepieces are vibrant, energetic, expressive, and as Baselworld visitors learned, more affordable than ever.

New for 2014 are more affordable Fernando Alonso watches that have been designed to appeal to a younger market. These exciting timepieces utilize modern materials like aluminium, steel, acetate, and silicon to convey the sporty spirit of the Viceroy man. New models include affordable chronographs and three-hand configurations with steel and aluminium cases that are water resistant to 165 feet.

Although Viceroy has become well known for its oversize masculine designs, they didn’t forget the ladies in 2014. New models in Viceroy’s popular Femme Watch Collection featured exotic materials like mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell. These new additions to the Femme line convey a super-feminine vibe, as portrayed by well-known photographer José Manuel Ferrater’s new Femme ad campaign, featuring top model Kate Bock.

Viceroy’s high profile performance at Baselworld 2014 reaffirms this brand’s uniquely Spanish vision and commitment to uncompromising quality and style. Although the glamor and excitement of Baselworld is over for another year, the excitement surrounding the Viceroy Fernando Alonso and Femme watch collections is just beginning. Look for this year’s latest styles at your nearest authorized Viceroy dealer.

Saint Honoré Introduces New Worldcode Diving Watch at Baselworld 2012

This Popular Masculine Design is Making Waves Again

saint Honoré Paris WatchesThe sleek design and meticulous finish of the Worldcode Collection, introduced by saint Honoré at Baselworld 2012 earlier this year, has made these distinctly masculine timepieces one of the Paris watchmaker’s most popular models. Now the Worldcode name has even more to offer with the introduction of the all-new Worldcode Diving instrument.

The 43 mm Worldcode Diving model is the ideal timepiece to conquer the underwater depths. The rugged stainless steel case is water resistant to 330 feet, with a dial protected by a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. For diver safety, this watch incorporates a graduated unidirectional rotating bezel that provides a clear reminder of a diver’s last fifteen minutes of air.

The rotating aluminum bezel insert is available in four different colors: black, brown, navy or rose gold, with a matching sunburst dial of the same shade. To ensure that the dial is completely legible, even while underwater, saint Honoré has made the luminous Arabic numerals and stick shaped hour markers even larger than on the original Worldcode timepieces.

To ensure accuracy in critical diving conditions, saint Honoré has replaced the mechanical movement found in Worldcode automatic models with a precision Swiss-made quartz movement. Equipped with either a comfortable black caoutchouc strap on a deployment buckle, or a stainless steel bracelet, this watch is a serious tool for snorkeling and skin diving. A solid screw down stainless steel back and an easy to read three-hand configuration with a date window at 6 o’clock complete the contemporary design, making this watch ready for anything.

For over 125 years, saint Honoré has been providing fashion forward men and women with the timepieces they really want. The impressive new saint Honoré Worldcode Diving watch proves once again that saint Honoré has been able to use their unique blend of artistry and imagination to create something entirely unexpected. Diver watches are not new, but somehow this one is! You can see the difference on your wrist. If you’d like to make waves with your own saint Honoré Worldcode Diving timepiece, contact an authorized Saint Honoré dealer today and dive into a watch you can be proud of.

RSW Introduces New Watch Collections at Baselworld 2012

RSW at Baselworld 2012

by Adrian Herscovici

RSW, a brand known for atypical, futuristic and conceptual watches pays homage to its hometown of La Neuveville with one of three new watch collections at Baselworld 2012.

RSW WatchesLa Neuveville, the medieval city located on the shore of Lake Biel, is the home of RSW. To celebrate the city’s 700th anniversary in 2012, RSW introduces the city’s watch namesake, La Neuveville, a vintage-style dress watch featuring the RSW patented fold-out crank crown on the automatic model with an ETA 2824-2 movement and a traditional crown on the quartz-powered model with an ETA 955.112 movement. The case is available in steel or steel coated with yellow PVD. There are three dial variations: white, black and an exceptionally elegant sunray pattern in gray.

The newest model in the RSW High King collection, which features classic watch complications, is The Regulator. The hours and minutes are, of course, separate, as the complication dictates: a Roman-numeral counter at 12 o’clock tracks hours while the long minute hand stems from the central pivot. Different case and dial combinations are available. Each features the RSW patented fold-out crank system. The movement is an automatic RSW 1912 ETA based Dubois Dépraz 14070.

In the Urban Contemporary line, RSW takes its ultra-solid Diving Tool above ground with the Diving Tool Camo Limited Edition. Like every RSW Diving Tool, the watch retains its water resistance to 980 feet and has a screw-down crown. The movement is an automatic ETA 2824-2. The dial comes in two versions, Woodland (green) and Oceanic (blue) –- available in solid steel or in PVD-coated steel. Each combination is limited to 49 pieces. The watch comes packaged in a special case that includes a camo-style Swiss army knife and both a rubber and NATO strap.
